Has anybody recently been cut off even though used very recently? (no signal, sim unassigned, balance £0 etc.)
I managed to get it back and credit re-established after a couple of calls to C/S.
What gives??

@Grez7 I think everything that can be said has been said on this long thread
Times are changing on PAYG and you have no comeback unlike contract.
Two years would be a ridiculous length of time. I've never known any network go that long.
When was it exactly since making a chargeable call?

Its a chargable action every 6months otherwise you will be cut off,

If you don’t top up, add a Bolt On or carry out any chargeable activity at least once in any six month period, your O2 Pay As You Go sim card will be disconnected and you’ll lose any remaining credit on your account. Terms and conditions.
A chargeable action, in the context of a Pay As You Go (PAYG) SIM, is any activity that incurs a cost and is deducted from your credit. These actions are important because they are typically used by mobile network providers to determine if a SIM card is still active. If you don't perform a chargeable action within a specific time frame (often every six months), your SIM card may be disconnected.
Examples of chargeable actions generally include:
Making a phone call: This is a classic example of a chargeable action, as you are billed per minute.
Sending a text message: Sending a standard SMS message that is charged from your credit.
Using mobile data: Accessing the internet or apps while not connected to Wi-Fi.
Topping up: Adding new credit to your account is usually considered a chargeable action by most providers, as it's an interaction that involves money.
Buying a "Bolt On" or data pack: Purchasing an add-on of minutes, texts, or data.
It's important to note that activities that are free, such as receiving a call or text message, or making a free call to customer service, do not count as a chargeable action. It's always best to check the specific terms and conditions of your mobile provider to be sure of their exact requirements for keeping your SIM active.
