I am currently using my usual montly tariff and have about 100mb left. I've added a bolt on, will my data change over once my usual tariff runs out to the bolt on, so i can continue using data?

Yes, you will be able to continue using data once your data allowance runs out through the bolt on you've added.
If you find you're getting low on data regularly each month, a cheaper option would be to increase your monthly tariff through MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2. Something you may like to think about.
