I tried unlocking my iPhone but I got an email saying The IMEI - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has not been used on our network with the MPN
provided, so it will not be possible to unlatch it. Will I still be able to unlock my device and if so how?

[mod edit: please do not post IMEI numbers on the public board. Thanks!]

@Yohan1

Have you checked whether the phone is locked? O2 haven't been locking phones since 2018.

Try another network sim in the phone first.

No. Your best bet is to take it to a local mobile repair shop to get it unlocked.

@Yohan1

You just need to get an O2 SIM and use it on O2 for a few days.

Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
