O2 Travel Opt Out

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi everyone,

I just switched from pay monthly to payg, and I found in my Bolt Ons list something called "O2 Travel Opt Out". I assume this gives me a different tariff from normal when abroad. Where can I find details of the tariffs with and without this opt out?

Thanks

No need to call customer service.

All info here on O2 Travel and you can decide whether to opt in or out depending on your needs.

https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/international/using-phone-in-europe

If you don't have Pay & Go O2 Travel on your account text TRAVELON to 21300 to activate, it can take up to 24hrs to be applied to your account.

To opt out of O2 Travel text TRAVELOFF to 21300, you will then be charged our standard roaming rates. This can take up to 24hrs to be applied to your account. For details of our standard roaming rates, please visit o2.co.uk/international.

Hi @Anonymous

Here is the link to show costs of using your service abroad if your thinking of using your o2 Service abroad.

http://www.o2.co.uk/international/internationalhub

Having O2 Travel on your Account is by default and does not cost you anything to have nor does it affect your normal tariff.

If you want it removing then either turn it off by speaking to Customer Services on 4445 ,or via Online Live Chat

If you are going to visit an EU country and will be using your phone a lot it is cheaper to have travel on. If you are only going to send a couple of texts and make a few calls, it will be cheaper to opt out.
If you intend to use data you should definitely opt in.
