Is £7 still charged just for receiving calls in an O2 Travel destination?

@squint

O2 Travel (Daily Charge)
  • Applies to: Pay Monthly plans for use outside the Europe Zone.
  • Daily charge: A fixed £7 fee for each day you use data, make calls, or send texts.
  • What's included: Data, minutes, and texts when traveling in your selected destination and back to the UK.
  • What's not included: Receiving calls and texts does not trigger the daily charge.
  • Usage policy: For personal use only; commercial use may lead to standard roaming rates or restrictions.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Note, @squint -

XReceiving calls ...does not trigger the daily charge... ...unless voicemail answers the call, at which point O2 Travel is invoked as your phone hands the call off to voicemail.

Disable voicemail before you leave the UK to be sure. Guide: All you need to know about O2 Voicemail 901
