How to block voicemails?

I'm still getting voicemails from a blocked number. The phone doesn't ring, the voicemail icon is the only notification.

Is it possible to stop the voicemails?

Just to add, if this is particularly annoying and you must have voicemail on, there is the option to change your number. You are allowed one free change. Its up to you really.
