Yes I know it's early but ITV have started to announce the contestants @Mi-Amigo and @sheepdog (and anyone else interested.

I've read that John Barrowman won't be judging this series. No news on who will replace him.

Today we have the first two contestants.

1) Sally Dynevor.

Sally has played Sally Webster on Coronation Street for 35 years. Aged 58. As I watch Corrie she is well known to me (lol)

2) Mark 'Bez' Berry from Happy Mondays

Already my favourite. Just love him. Mad as a box of frogs but apparently taking this seriously.

At least I know these two... I expect the rest will be announced over the next two weeks.

5) Brendan Cole (ex SCD professional dancer)

6) Regan Gascoigne (son of Paul Gascoigne and that's all I know about him!)

7) Liberty Poole (Ex Love Island...Has had skating experience)

8 Ben Foden ....Rugby Player

I have no idea when the last 3 were announced. The only one I heard about was Brendan today. Hopefully not leading you 'up the garden path'😂

Thanks @Cleoriff for the latest addtions to those taking part in DOI.

Some I`ve heard, some I haven`t. From info given, might be a good mix with some having skating and/or dancing experience and others being novices.

btw any news/update on new judge ?

The DOI group I belong to on FB have mixed reports. One posted an article yesterday where Arlene Phillips stated she was NOT judging on DOI. So it could be a double bluff @Mi-Amigo 😂

The final contestants have been announced. A pretty good mix with only one I haven't heard of before

9 Kimberley Wyatt (Ex Pussycat Doll)

10) Connor Ball (From the band The Vamps)

11) Ria Hebden TV Presenter from Lorraine (and other shows) I don't really know much about her)

12) Kye Whyte. Olympian BMX rider. Won bronze in Tokyo.

So there you have it. All 12 contestants and only one I said 'Who's that' about.

A lot different to SCD. They had 16 contestants and had only really heard of about 10

@Mi-Amigo @sheepdog  and (not sure if you watch?) @gmarkj , I wonder what you think about these contestants.

Still no news on the new judge as yet. The last show started on the 17th Jan, so expect a Sunday date close to that.

I`ve heard of the additional celebs except Ria.

With skill in BMX at Olympics, Kye could be a serious contender... depending on ability to skate ??

Going have to give a few owls out here to Conner Ball, Ria Hebden, Stef Reid, Regan Gazza and Liberty Swimming Pool. Brendan Cole has a lot to live up to and Kye White is a surprise choice. Fearless might be the watchword with him. Guaranteed Bez will be saved by the public for a fair few weeks. 

Might watch this on ITV hub as a) Schofield and Willoughby annoy me b) way too many adverts.

I'd disagree with the owls for those you mention, apart from Liberty Poole and Regan Gascoigne. (I wasn't aware he had a son if honest) Anyway on checking Regan seems to be famous for being a dancer!
