Upgrade device only ans keep previous sim

I want to keep my current sim and airtime plan, I need to upgrade my device only however cannot see the option online. I intend to use it previous sim in my new one. Can I upgrade my device only?

The only way to upgrade your device only (with O2,) is to buy it outright. If you buy from Amazon, Samsung or Apple, they do offer credit over a few months. You could then keep your old sim or if the phone is 5G capable, get a new sim and do a sim swap. Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update 

You could go for a sim only contract which would probably work out cheaper than your current airtime.
