As well as my pay monthly account, I also have a classic PAYG SIM which I use in my car ( I drive an old one with inbuilt phone ).

As per the suggestion on the myO2 website, I’ve tried adding the PAYG to my account so I can top up, check balance etc etc. it requires a code to be sent to my PAYG device but the message is never received - I know it’s not the car causing issues as other messages are received fine.

Tried contacting the support team through an online chat but the automated service was no help and told me that no agents were available.

Any ideas on what I can do / what could be causing this?

@NetworkNorm

You need to register the PAYG sim with a different email and a new MyO2.

O2 have stopped customers from adding to a current MyO2.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks, just frustrating that O2 still offer it on their website, suppose it’s asking too much for that to be removed ? 😉

It's a fairly recent change since the forced linking of VM and O2 accounts @NetworkNorm

Maybe they will remove it with an update at some point but there are still many errors that we have reported years ago......
