Hello,
I just renewed my contract in Virgin Media, the agent offered me O2 SIM £5/month with 4GB data for a 18-month contract. But now I see from MyO2 that I can only get 2GB data per month. How can I get 4GB per month?
Kind regards,
Singchi

On Volt packages your data will be doubled around 14 days after signing up

Your data will be doubled with volt benefits.
Usually in less than 14 days Volt Megaguide

Volt gets applied after 14 days so data is then doubled

And having had to call VM up recently in advance of my own VM renewal in December, I note they have a knack of quoting their package speeds whilst silently "assuming Volt has been applied", ie they will tell you the package they have priced is, for example, M250 - but they won't say that they have included Volt doubling in that and really you are being sold an M125 with your Volt boosting it to M250.
So be careful, if renewing with Virgin Media - it could be very easy to accept their deal hoping to get Volt to double your broadband speed, but to find the price and speed they quoted already accounts for Volt.
And don't forget, whatever discounted price you get (3 months at discount then 15 at full, or a discounted rate for the full 18months), it's going to go up twice as the RPI +3.9% is applied in March/April 2024 and again in March/April 2025, assuming your renewal starts before next April.
In Virgin's case:

@pgn Surely you are not suggesting that Virgin are economical with the truth?
Surprised they did not suggest you need a new O2 SIM and contract because the old one will stop working.
(Yes, I've seen that on their forum)
