Hi, I received a call just now from someone claiming to work for O2 who said they were adding a 40% discount to my plan they talked through why and how it would be added what it would entail and sent me a code which came from an O2 contact although the call legitimate until the end of the call when they said they would look at my details and send me a confirmation email, I never received the email and the person was asking me questions that would seem obvious to someone who was working for O2 such as asking my name, email, home address, I gave my name and my email but I didn’t provide my home address as this made me question the legitimacy. Is this something I should be worried about?

Thank you !

Yes you need to act now.

It's a well known scam.

Change your O2 password immediately and contact O2 fraud to inform them.

There will likely be a fraudulent order on your account.

You should also notify your bank to stop any transactions and also action fraud.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
