I lost service about 4pm and after switching off 3 or four times I checked the 02 website to see if any notices about faults. When I didnt see anything obviously there, I contacted my sister who lives just a mile away and her o2 service is working. I therfore put it down to a faulty phone. It was only on delving deeper into the o2 site that I found these discussions and find that many other people are having the same problem all round the country. Why oh why have o2 not put something prominent on their website to save all the wasted time and give us some idea how long the problem is going to last??????? EJ Accrington Lancs

It's not just Wigan, My Iphone 4 went off at 13:30 today whilst I was in London and has been saying no service ever since, my company Iphone 4s also on 02 is working fine as is my Samsung Galaxy 2 also on 02, so I thought my iphone had gone faulty, drove back home to wigan rebooted etc no service, put my sim in an old Nokia with an adaptor and it shows voicemail icon but no service, when you ring it says there is a fault, got to admit I have been with 02 for years and have several handsets with them but when they are due for renewal I think Vodafone will be getting my business as the signal level and call quality has been dropping for a while now.

I'm in Blackburn, Lancs and my phone has been off since 1pm, it came back on at 3.30pm for all of 3 minutes, it is now 9.45pm and I still have no service, on checking the O2 status page it informed me that I had normal coverage, that was at 4pm and every time I have tried to log in since it simply crashes, I was waiting for my daughter's Epilepsy Doctor to call me back early this afternoon with an emergency appointment............thank you O2 for nothing, no phone call received and the 3 minutes service I did get didn't get me past the phone ringing at the Childrens Outpatients Department to see if I'd missed the call! Useless!

people are entitled to their opinion just as they are entitled when paying for a service to receive a good one in return, we are all complaining about the level of customer service received by 02,if you do not agree then that is your opinion, and im sure we all respect it, just as you should ours

I live in Glasgow and only found that I had problems after 3pm. Still have no service...... I have tried to contact customer services, no joy. OK, things happen, but the lack of information is nothing short of a disgrace. I have been with o2 since 1998, time for a change. Really angry about this...... My wife is also o2, she also is pretty annoyed about lack of information.
