Hi,

Just wondering if anybody else is having trouble with 02 this weekend, Live in the Moreton in marsh area of the cotswolds and can't get a vaild network,

Phone displays a few bars of signal strenght... but is allways saying "no access to network" - I know its not the handset as I've changed it and the problems still there. however it tends to work better in Cheltenham

Anybody else having this trouble or is it just me going bannanas :womanindifferent:

Hi

Yeah we also live in Moreton in Marsh and have called O2 several times now. They said they did routine maintenance work on Friday but that shouldn't affect our signal!!!!! Yeah right I said !! Well clearly it has!!! We need everyone who lives in Moreton in Marsh who has O2 to call O2 to complain otherwise they won't fix it, well not in a hurry anyway!!!

I have emailed them again today!!! Day five of complaining so hopefully we should get a resolution!

Hi There,

After a long telephone call to a helpdesk person in 02 this morning, I've managed to get o2 to raise a fault call for a engineer to take a look at this issue.

It did take a lot of time and effort for them to take owership that there is /could be a problem as they were trying to blame my handset (even though I've changed it) or the sim card (which works find in Brum) ........

advising them that I'm a telecomms engineer myself and telling them that they have a problem seemed to do the trick

The Helpdesk person did say that there are no other complaints showing for this area apart from mine therefore it would better if everybody that was having connection problems would call them and let them know

You can do this by calling 4445 from you handset (which could be a problem if you have no signal!) or dialing 08705 678678

Fault symptoms are ... network appears to be present but unable to access, No imcoming/ outgoing calls or sms

If I hear anything else .... I'll post it up here !

If I hear anything else ..... I'll post it here

I have been thinking it was only me! I got through to O2 iPhone Customer Services last night, once I could get a signal back, and they said that a new Transmitter Mast is being installed, and the signal will be affected until 30th Sept!!!!!
I am not sure if this correct, but the way it is going he could be right. I will be contacting O2 for 1/2 month's rental as I cannot make or receive any calls or sms. Today, I did have signal until about 10am, then went to "No Service".

I contacted o2 and they said that they cant activate it till the 21st September because they are upgrading their system!!!...

Yup the same thing has just happened to me! Had my phone stolen on Saturday night, had to wait till Monday for the insurance place to open. I then was told that I couldn’t be put through to them and they couldn’t give me a number to call them, so they would call me back within 24 hours. During the 26th hour I decided to give them a call, and arranged my replacement phone which arrived 24 hours later… with no sim card!!!

They have since made a complete mess of this telling me to get a sim card from the store, and at the same time ordering one and syncing it with my account, so that when I went to sync the one that I purchased from the store, I was told that I was unable to it as there was another sim in process and I couldn’t change it to the sim I had purchased until that sim was connected.

This meant that I was left without any phone on my birthday which made it extremely difficult to finalise details on the activities I had planned for that evening.

The sim finally arrived this morning, called O2 to remove the bar from my phone only to be told that I’m now going to have to wait till Sunday!

This is ridiculous! Same thing happened to my friend on another network provider (T-Moblie) a couple of months back and he was back up running in 48 hours…

Being new to O2 this is not the best of starts!!!
