Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Been on chats with O2 4 times now. How hard is it to swap a bloody sim card??? No Service now for almost 24 hours. The original sales guy told me that all I had to do was swap the sim when it came in the post and to relax and do nothing. It would all happen automatically. Yeah right. Anymore bs and I'm closing my accounts with O2 and moving to another network.

HA, that's what they think! This is beyond a joke now. I'm being fed numerous differentiating replies that don't match at all. We've come a long way from what the original sales guy said would happen. Not to mention, I see they have billed me from Oct 24th to Nov 7th and it's still not working.
I know exactly what's happened here, yet all I get back is 'Sir, don't worry your phone will come online eventually'.
What happened is, my original sim card was under an expired business contract with O2. So I was just paying the old monthly costs after it expired. I got a call from an O2 sales guy saying they could put me on a better plan. A montly one, £11 all in. I could keep my same number and either I could transfer it online or by phone OR it would happen 5 days after AUTOMATICALLY. All I had to do was put the new sim card in my phone when the old one stopped working.
Which didn't happen. I ended up with 2 accounts, my old business one with my old number and a new account with a new number. Then we had the palava of transfering the old number to the new account. For awhile, they said it wasn't possible. During all this I'm being transfered back and worth with the monthly people there and the business accounts people. Finally, the old number gets transfered to the new account. Then I get the whole spiel again, don't worry your old number on your new sim card is being connected. 24 hours later. Still no service. I bet what has happened is the old number got transfered to the new account, which I can see online. But I bet it's not been activated on the new sim card.

HAHAHA, right on O2's website and I quote:
Activate your Pay Monthly sim
Your Pay Monthly sim will be ready to go when it arrives - all you’ve got to do is put it in your phone.

It gets worse! Just drove all the way to the town centre to get a new sim card and guess what??? This one isn't working either. Tried to get onto support chat on here. Busy as usual. Look up O2's contact number to call from a landline, as mobile is not working 5p per minute? Seriously, 5p a minute???

Doesn't matter. I'm getting my PAC number and moving on.

Its a shame something like this has made you want to move on from o2.
Maybe just a knee jerk reaction to the recent experience.
Sleep on it.
You have 30 days from obtaining the PAC Code to use it so have a mull over, maybe.
Take care.

Thanks for the message Bandofbrothers. The clencher for leaving O2 is the 5p per min landline charge. Completely unacceptable! Specially when their online chat support is constantly busy. Only O2 could change this. But hey, profit before service. So it doesn't surprise me.
