Great O2 Customer Service

Seeing as people are naturally so quick to complain about the poor customer service they receive, I thought I would write a post to praise the service I received this afternoon, when I phoned 2302 to have a whinge about the appalling battery life on my 4 day old iPhone 4.

I explained the problem (I won't go into it in detail, suffice to say that my battery wasn't lasting more than 10-12 hours even when the phone was not being used) to a guy in customer services.

He agreed that it sounded like there was a fault with my handset, as other customers had reported much better battery life than the 3GS. He has ordered up a replacement handset for me (apparently, O2 keep reserves for exchanges and replacements), and has said that it will be delivered by the end of the week. No questions asked, no excuses, just good customer service.

Thank you, O2.

Now I just have to hope that the replacement handset doesn't have the same problem! grin

Unless I've misunderstood what ancientferguson said, I think he means iPhone software updates, rather than App updates...?

slight_smile If that is what he meant sorry about that. To answer that question though you would only be able to do an itunes or OS update on the computer. And when one is out it will be all over the internet.
