Dell Streak 2.2 Froyo Update on O2

Anyone able to help me with my problem hehe

I sent you a pm but it is kept in my Outgoing box for some unknown reasons.
Here is the content:
Connect your device with USB and on your streak select the option "transfer file from computer" (not the MTP option)
Rename the file .pkg to "update.pkg" (no upper cases)
Transfer it to the root of your SD card (outside of any folder of your SD card)
Shut down your Streak
Start it by pressing the two buttons of volume control
You should have a black screen with four options, pick the second one ("update from update.pkg")
This should work fine

Has anyone done this successfully since the link has changed on the Dell website to say it won't work with O2? I got to the reboot from update.pkg then bottled it!!

Im a really a dumb person wen it come to tech I got no OTA so I went to dell and downloaded the file, sent it to ma desktop on my laptop but aint a clue how to send it over to my streak?
Also can someone just explain it like im 5

First of all , im sorry for my bad english.
Lets start, I´ve bought a dell streak locked to O2 a few weeks ago in the UK.
Today I got an Update Notification that tells me 2.2 would be availible , unfortunally the only thing i can do after following the download link is Backing up my data ( wich I did about a thousand times now )..
Does anybody have an idea what to do ?
I´d be very thankfull about every Post .

I think you need to go back one screen and check below the backup button. Its a right pain as there are no scroll bars so you don't know there is more to the screen ...

Thanks for your fast asnwer , but there is nothing wich is quite annoying as i ve been installing and deleting the backup app around a hundred times now as often as i ve been checking for the update button.
Any Other solution ?

How is everybody who's installed 2.2 finding the functionality of Flash Player?
On the BBC website, it seems somewhat temperamental.

when you say temperamental you mean .... ? I tried it a few times (and you tube) and it seemed fine .....

Right, I don't know if this will help but I figured there must be a vid of this on YouTube. I found this one but some of it is in German. But the screen seems the same as the ones I got when doing the update.
