Bill charged without activating SIM card

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi, I was charged £12 even without plugging the SIM card into my phone. I did not purchase anything and did not plan to start using it yet. Can I request for a refund, please?

Hi @Anonymous. Your post is a little vague. Have you just started a new contract with O2? If so you will be billed for part of a month dependent on tariff/contract price and when the contract commenced. . In any case we really don't have access to your account as we are all customers like yourself. I suggest you ring O2 customer service in the morning.... 202 for contract 4445 payg. 8.8.30 am is the best time to call

It sounds like you have been charged for the first few days pro rata and then the first month's bill. You will be billed when the sim is despatched whether you start using it immediately or not. Possibly call them but it's perfectly normal if that is indeed the case.

I doubt you'll get a refund as the sim is active from day 1 regardless if you decide to use it or not.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
