Hi there, I had an upgrade handset delivered yesterday which came with a new SIM card. I have set the new phone up but the network is still on my old phone. Do I need to activate the new phone?

@Gav2 You need to either put your old sim in your new phone, or do a sim swap: SIM Swap: a mini guide (incl eSim) - O2 Community

If you're in a 5G area and want to use that service, swap the sim. If 5G hasn't come to you yet there's no rush.

You can use your old sim in your new phone @Gav2.

If you want to swap to your new one, follow the guide below (click "view in store" after clicking the link).
