Yes the series 2 watch is fully supported.

O2 just told me it’s not. And when pairing and updating iOS for watch. It installs but when I go to verify it say cannot verify as no WiFi connection

I can assure you it is supported.
You need to check everything carefully and try pairing again.

Make sure you have WiFi connection on your phone and that the watch is close to the phone when updating .

Watch 2 is supported. Have you tried rebooting your router or iPhone?
