I'm arrived in Qatar and just realised I haven't switched my voicemail off.

1760 won't work out here. Is there someone from O2 who can do this for me.

Thanks

Only 1 thing I can think of to try is go to settings > phone> and turn off dial assist as it may be adding +44 that was in another thread (but may only work in the eu).

But as stated before this cannot be done by customer services many have tried  over the years.

Hi Harryg and Welcome to the Forum,

Its always advised that a person turn off their O2 Voicemail before leaving the Uk due to the short codes not working properly outside of the Uk.

You could try dialling 1760 to turn it off.

If no joy then speak to O2 via the Online Live Chat as they may be able to assist.

Or use the abroad number ;

From abroad +44 844 809 0200 Free

PAYG Customers.
From abroad +44 7860 980 202 International rates

I've seen it reported on here that one person was successful I in turning off voicemail via customer service. I'll see if I can find the link but it isn't possible to do it otherwise.

Some info on short codes not working out side the eu

Throughout most of Europe, your service will work the same way as it does in the UK. You'll be able to use the same short codes without having to use the international dialling code to call back to the UK.

As soon as you land at your destination you'll receive a text message from O2 to let you know what services you can access.

If you're travelling further afield than Europe, you'll still have to call back to the UK using +44. And just to remind you, your short codes will be unavailable.

I haven't Adam but I personally know people who have called 202 and had it switched off from o2s end that's why I can't see why it can't be done abroad surely shouldn't matter where the phone is if it's account based
