Sim Swap not succeed after 24 hrs

I tried to swap to a micro sim card yesterday afternoon 4pm. My old sim card died later last night. But my new sim card is still not working yet. My number has not been recognized for over 12 hrs. Is this due to the net work problem? Has any body else is experiencing  the same problem?

I swapped on friday 12 of October around 20:00 o'clock.

I *upgraded* on 12th October at about 14:00 via carphone warehouse.

I tried to swap my SIM card in Birmingham new street O2 store at 16:15 12th oct( last Friday).

Phoned up and the process started at 15:15 on Friday the 12th.

37 hrs with no service!!! the most helpful advice I got was, 'just keep turning it off and on, it'll come back on eventually'!! thanks for that, 37hrs later my 'on/off' buttons nearly broke!!! 

If it's not back on by tonight, my pretty new I phone 5 is going back and i'm switching networks!!!!

Hi I have had no service for nearly 48hrs and sim swap still not activated, can't imagine this will be rectified on a sunday although i remain hopeful and continually turning my handset off and on. I wish o2 would tell us when they will get this sorted as the forum shows this problem is affecting lots of other people besides me.
