Increase time the iPhone rings before diverting to Voicemail

Anonymous
Not applicable
O2's FAQ for iPhone has the following topic:

"Can I increase the length of time the iPhone rings before diverting to voicemail?

Yes, just like any other handset you can change the length of time the iPhone rings before diverting to voicemail by entering **61*901*NN# SEND (NN is the number of seconds in increments of 5 and a maximum of 30 seconds)."

This code is incorrect. It should be "**61*901*11*NN# SEND"

Hope this helps anyone.

Yes when you have entered the code then just press the green telephone key and call the code. A popup will show USSD code is running and then a successful message will appear.

If you miss entering the 11, you calls will all go to voicemail immediately and your phone will not ring at all!! I tried this just now and had to redo using 11, although this did not extend my ring time, so it off to my local O2 store today to resolve.

Hi @LesWolves13 - the digits in red are what change the ringtone, did you retry as below?

 - Enter the following into your keypad as though you were just making a call :

**61*901*11*30#

then simply press 'call'.

please note 30 is the time in seconds before voicemail kicks in and can be set in increments of 5 ie. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 to a maximum of 30 seconds.

It should work, if voicemail is active on your phone account: Guide: All you need to know about O2 Voicemail 901

The Store staff may be able to help, so good luck with that tomorrow.

Reading the above, try specifying 25 instead of 30 at the end, @Statto - or bring it forward from 15 to 10 and then push it out.

Make sure WiFi Calling is deactivated on phone and in your MyO2 first.

I got to test this MMI code when roaming, briefly, on 3Ireland - MMI code error:

Think I'll stick as I am and not use Voicemail, if anyone wants to talk to me that badly, they'll call again when I am in range or when I am not already in a call - problem solved! 😎
