Help for those seeking their iPhone 5 Delivery

Anonymous
Not applicable

Following on from the extensive iPhone 5 pre-orders thread which contains very useful information regarding other community members experiences (and lies) regarding their iPhone 5 delivery I and others thought it time we had a factual thread containing just the relevant information to help people, like me, still waiting for their new device!

So please post just the basic factual information:

1/ The date the phone was ordered.

2/ The method of ordering - By Phone to Customer Services/Upgrades/Business/Retentions or Online or in person in an O2 Shop

3/ Model of phone - Colour and Size.

4/ Current Status - Awaiting Allocation, In progress, Despatched, Delivered!

Please post the information regardless of when those lucky people who already have their phones actually received them and those of us who are STILL waiting can repost with any updates they have following chats with Guru's CS and others (but please keep it brief). Once you have posted that you have received your phone please do not repost the same information. Hopefuly this will keep the thread brief and factual and become a good resource for others over the next few weeks as clearly ringing O2 achieves nothing!

Let me kcik things off:

1/ Ordered 21st September 7.10am

2/ Via Business Retentions over the phone

3/ White 32GB

4/Awaiting Allocation - STILL after 4 weeks and 4 days!

Is anyone still waiting?

I have been on to Customer services, Compalints, Twitter and Online Chat and not one o2 rep can give me a valid explination as to why my order cannot even be estimated, never mind that orders placed after mine are being completed before?

If people can include HOW they ordered their Handset, it makes it easier to explain my case to o2... Thanks in advance!

*Update*

Just spoken with Trading Standards, who have advise that Under the Sale of Goods & Services Act 1982, that I should expect a service to be resolved within a Reasonable Time.  Handest before have taken 3-4 days, Even if I ecpected 3-4 weeks to be a reasonable time, I'm way off this!!

Letter on its way recorded delivery I reckon..

I'm still waiting Smiley Mad

Now bombarding on twitter, as well as following up with phone calls.

My major gripe, as you may have gathered, is that business renewals seem to be bottom of the pile. New customers, those on lease getting priority over me.

I'll keep on chasing as it's not worth switching to another provider as I'll go to the bottom of thier queue!!

Just thought I'd contribute and let those still waiting know that they're not alone.

1/ 22nd September.

2/ By Phone to Business

3/ 16GB White.

4/ Waiting. Interminably

We ordered 3 of the above handsets and have so far had three texts apologising for the delay (the most recent of which came today) but heard nothing more.  The screen of my current iPhone 4 was smashed literally the day after we ordered the iPhone 5s so it can't come soon enough.

Been keeping an eye on this thread as I have been waiting impatiently on my iphone

1) ordered 27th september

2) business upgrade

3) 16gb white iPhone 5

4) awaiting allocation

this last week I called, tweeted and emailed O2 to be told the same old line than I can now expect a wait of up to 12 weeks when I was originally told 3.

i had an online chat with the complaints department and raised the issue other O2 customers getting the phone before me and other business customers and was told 'stock is allocated on a first come first serve basis'....(clearly not!).

sick and tired of the 'phone will be with you soon texts' but even after complaining I am no clearer as to when I'll recieve my phone

16g white ordered via business upgrade 21st September, still waiting.

I have been with O2 since the year dot and I am now very fed up with them. Three local shops were showing stock the other day (all gone now!!), but if I go in next time, will I be able to get the same deal as online.

I think a word from the o2 rep would have been good in this thread.

it seems like it is just us business customers who are still waiting!

I am still waiting for 2 x 16GB in black which I ordered on the 17th September via O2 business. I really wish I had gone with my instinct and placed the order with 'EE' as O2 has been disgracful. I managed to get the email address of a line manager from the business retention team. I sent him a long (yet polite) letter of complaint asking for some answers. This was a week ago and i have had no reply! He has just ignored me.

So frustrating!!!!!
