Sending Pictures on my Sony Xperia Tipo

Anonymous
Not applicable

Until very recently, I have been able to send pictures. Now I get a message " Message will be sent when service becomes available" then after a short time. "Message could not be sent".

I have checked and rechecked my setting, which I received vai an email from o2. I have had them send my setting via ACTIVE to 2020. I have been chatting to 3 different advisors, who all tell me that my account is set to send and reeceive pictures. But I am still unable to do so.

Can anyone help please. Thanks

I fear you are wasting your time, and will be back onto them next week, but it's worth a try wink

How can I get them to remove MMS. I asked, but they said it was the sim card.

Unfortunately Customer Services won't like it when someone comes to them with an idea on how to solve a problem but you just need their assistance in doing it.

As MI5 said be very persistent with them and eventually they should give up.

Just as predicted, the new sim card produced the same result. still unable to send Pictures. I asked for the MMS to be removed from my account and get is repositioned. The chap I spoke to today, said they were unable to do thsi!. I persisted and eventually he said he had done just that and I have to ring back in 2 days, (it will be Monday now) to have them put it back on. He did not seem very sure what he was doing. Hope he has done as asked. Will keep you informed. Thanks.

Well they can do it as they have done it for many people before to fix the issue, but I guess it depends on the ability of the operator you get, which is just pot luck really wink

If you have only just had it reinstated it will take 24 hours to activate.. Are you sure they took MMS off and then put it back on again? From what you said above you weren't sure they understood your request?

No I am not sure what they did. Initially the chap said he was not able to remove MMS from my account. Then when I persisted he said he had done so and requested me to 'phone up again after 48 hours. I started a chat ('Phone call is expensive) and I asked for MMS to be reinstated. She said she had done that and would I test if I could send a picture. so she did not wait for it be activated.I did as requested and could not send Pic. She then wanted to go through all the settings again and I have been through these so many times, I declined and said I would have to try and get up to the o2 shop.

I have just tried again to sent an MMS and get the same message. Message will be sent when service becomes available. A little later "message could not be sent.
