Recent apps button on samsung s7 (not edge)

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi All, not sure if this is an app issue or a Samsung issue.  My new S7 which is less than 3 week old has an issue where the "recent apps" soft button in the bottom left hand of the screen has permanently disappeared. I've tried browsing online resolutions and have finally resorted to a hard reset but the button is still missing even though every other button and option works as they should.

Any other suggestions would be welcome before the phone goes back to O2.

Many thanks

Al

Did they change it to an on screen button then?

Hi. I've tried suggestions but the intermittent problem remains. I will be returning the unit to Samsung for repair/ replacement as soon as I can. Unfortunately a family emergency means that I cannot be without it at the moment. Not a great start for a phone that had good reviews.

Though, before sending it in, you could try backing it up in smart switch and then performing a reactivation installation from the menu.
This does clear up 99% of issues.
