Boot phone into recovery menu (hold vol up + Home + Power until green android appears) then choose "Clear Cache" and reboot phone as normal.

Its a common problem on the ace as the system/data partition is only 150mb. It has nothing to do with the amount of apps on the phone directly as they are stored in a partition that has 4gb available to it. It's the cached data that get stored in the small partition that fills up too quickly, hence clearing the cache (or RAM) fixes the issue. The phone will not fail... unfortunately it's just an annoying "feature", but the advice to backup is still good as you never know when something will go wrong wink
