Hi Everyone , looking for some advice.

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro laptop in 2023 , A few months ago during an update the laptop stopped functioning. I have a lot of personal stuff going on and forgot about the laptop.

28th July I walked into an 02 store asking what could possibly be wrong , they checked out the device and explained it needed returned so the tech guys could have  a look and figure out the problem.

A week ago , a refurbished laptop was sent to my home , happy days I thought.

Turning it on I encountered a problem , no wifi showed up only Mobile sim. Unfortunately for me when I returned the faulty laptop I forgot to remove the sim card.

I have been on to customer support 4 times about this issue and I am still no further on , what I was told , was that the sim had been discontinued and I was asked did I cancel it? Answer was No!

Has anyone encountered this before where no wifi networks are showing at all? I cannot get past set up due to this.

Thanks to all who's reading this.

@Dingledee

As you've tried customer service, I'll ask our forum manager @Dave-O2 if he can help. He's not back until Tuesday though so come back then and see if he's replied on this thread.

@Dingledee

No wifi showing has nothing to do with your sim issue.

You either don't have wifi turned on or the device is faulty.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Hi Dave
Thanks for the reply. I don't have the sim number for the laptop its apparently discontinued. I have been waiting weeks now for them to reactivate the sim card but I have been getting fobbed off with ' There's a backlog' I am paying monthly for a device I cannot use and it's highly frustrating .
I don't know where to turn as it takes so long to get through by phone  I honestly feel like getting the laptop and stuffing it into the bin!

Hey ,

Thanks for the reply. My home WIFI is always switched on , as this is a refurbished laptop they sent out , I am starting to think the issue is with the laptop itself

I have noted no one has tried to help you fix the WiFi Issue.

This is a know issue on the Samsung laptops and is down to the WiFi Card drivers

Are there any devices in Device Manager with a yellow triangle on it, or if you select show hidden devices does anything show up.

Also might be worth if you can downloading the latest drivers for the wifi card

This reddit thread might help as well https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyBook/comments/1gmuk5x/samsung_galaxy_book_2_wifi_issues/

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
