Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I took out my simcard and have put it back in. But it now says 'no sim card and emergency calls only' message on my galaxy a3. Any ideas please?

Thanks

Have you put it back in the right way?
Check it isn't damaged too.

Check it and make sure you reboot the phone too.

Good point.

I had naturally the phone was off when the sim was removed, but if the phone was still on it would require a restart.

Sim cards shouldn't generally be removed when the phone is on (with some exceptions)

I don't know about that particular model but I know that the sim cards in my phone are removed with a pin (lost the special thingy). One sim sits beside the SD card and the other sim in a separate carrier so obviously can be removed without switching the phone off... something I don't do I have to say.
