My z3 compact ringtone keeps resetting to default

I keep setting my ringtone. Then an hour or so later it just resets again back to default. It's really beginning to grate on my nerves. Any ideas how to stop this. It's only been since the latest updates.

I've not encountered this problem but did you do a reset after the update?

Is the ringing held on an sd card?
If so, move it to phone storage then set it.

No didn't reset. I'd have lost everything and I customise a lot. I don't root so can't back up so never reset

Thank you. I really appreciate your help. I didn't realise I had to do a restore. I'll do a backup now and give it a whirl. Thank you again. I've also tried transferring it from my card to phone too. Hopefully one works. Thank you both.
