Hi, been into a O2 store and I'm now using a different messaging app, wotever was wrong with the other one (a bug maybe?) I dunno but ain't goin to the trouble of a factory reset. Thank you for all the help folks.

Good to hear.
As I said last night, you might find your old app will start working again now you have selected a different one, but no worries if you don't want to risk it.

If this new one works fine and you like it, maybe is worth asking the name to help other users? I am iPhone so, no idea about android

It's called Android Messages by Google. Chap installed it at the O2 shop, it hasn't quite got all the things the other app had such as conversation wallpaper n doesn't convert the old fashioned smileys into a picture but does do all the up to date smileys in picture format. 🙂
