ON THE INSIDEQualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 processor

Well, it's here, the successor they never thought would come, following off the heels of the fantastic Xperia Z5 premium,  this is the Xperia XZ Premium.

Featuring the latest powerhouse from qualcomm, the 835 paired with the enhanced adreno 540, all sitting with 4gb of ddr4 ram and 64gb of storage (minus 14gb for the Android nougat OS). The key thing to note however is the fact that not only is it the first device to announce with the 835, but also it uses the new 10nm SOC which delivers roughly 25-30% more speed.... But uses up to 40% less power!!!!

This means that "small" 3230mah battery, is actually going to provide 15-20% more life than the current 14nm systems, even with the 4k hdr display....

Oh yeah, forgot that bit.

The Xperia XZ Premium has the world's first 4k HDR Display on a mobile,..  What does that mean? I'll show you.

That's some difference.

The phone also boasts an unbelievable and quite simply amazing motion eye camera, at 19mp, each measuring a larger 1.22um to give much better light capture with up to 50% less noise, this is paired with a Sony G f2.0 25mm lens array to give far sharper photos in all light levels, whilst keeping noise at a minimum, but... The unique feature of this camera.. Super slow motion of up to 960fps at 720p. Check this out..

The waterproofing has been kept as expected, and the design whilst very closely resembling XZ, you'll find it much more refined and the rear alkaleido panel has been replaced with curved Gorilla glass,  the USB C port has also been upgraded to USB 3.1 speeds to match the much faster UFS memory on board.

All in all, I can't wait to get this, and I'll be there day 1 in the queue (lol) to get it.

Well i had mine delivered on saturday and I love it. It really is gorgeous in chrome imo and pretty much a dream to operate. Battery life appears to be on par with my s7 edge and the screen is just PWOAHHH.

My only gripes so far are perhaps not as much focused detail in camera shots as i'd expect (and yes low light shots really arent that great, but I already knew that) and the speakers REALLY need to be louder. For the love of god sony bring back the xloud enchancement! They are pretty much locked to a max of 4db slight_frown

I am going to miss the wireless charging from my s7, but honestly that's probably about it.

You gotta play with the settings and practice, best results from a Sony cam cone with manual play, point and shoot auto will never give best results.

Well, by that logic, it's basically an Xperia p just updated software and tech inside and the display
Same as an iPhone 7+ is the same as iPhone 2g just updated software and tech inside and the display
Same as htc u11 is basically a galaxy S1 just updated software and tech inside and the display

It's pretty much how the industry works.

so its absolutely nothing like a z1 at all then... lmao

seriously though the design may not actually look like its moved on that much - but from someone who had the z2 and found it to be an unwealdly beast, the xz premium is a refind step up from previous models in terms of ergonomics and it is just that, premium.
