ON THE INSIDEQualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 processor
Well, it's here, the successor they never thought would come, following off the heels of the fantastic Xperia Z5 premium, this is the Xperia XZ Premium.
Featuring the latest powerhouse from qualcomm, the 835 paired with the enhanced adreno 540, all sitting with 4gb of ddr4 ram and 64gb of storage (minus 14gb for the Android nougat OS). The key thing to note however is the fact that not only is it the first device to announce with the 835, but also it uses the new 10nm SOC which delivers roughly 25-30% more speed.... But uses up to 40% less power!!!!
This means that "small" 3230mah battery, is actually going to provide 15-20% more life than the current 14nm systems, even with the 4k hdr display....
Oh yeah, forgot that bit.
The Xperia XZ Premium has the world's first 4k HDR Display on a mobile,.. What does that mean? I'll show you.
That's some difference.
The phone also boasts an unbelievable and quite simply amazing motion eye camera, at 19mp, each measuring a larger 1.22um to give much better light capture with up to 50% less noise, this is paired with a Sony G f2.0 25mm lens array to give far sharper photos in all light levels, whilst keeping noise at a minimum, but... The unique feature of this camera.. Super slow motion of up to 960fps at 720p. Check this out..
The waterproofing has been kept as expected, and the design whilst very closely resembling XZ, you'll find it much more refined and the rear alkaleido panel has been replaced with curved Gorilla glass, the USB C port has also been upgraded to USB 3.1 speeds to match the much faster UFS memory on board.
All in all, I can't wait to get this, and I'll be there day 1 in the queue (lol) to get it.

So am I right in assuming that O2 won't offer the dual-sim version of this phone? It would be handy for business travel.

Yeah that's true, it's a shame though...oh well, I'll just have to get a second phone
Thanks for responding.
EDIT: I didn't realise as a Pay Monthly customer you can simply ask for the phone to be unlocked...at any point in the contract. So I could just swap out the sims. This is a pleasant surprise! Bring on 1 June! I'll be ordering this beastly phone to replace my HTC as soon as I am physically able to.

Went to see this yesterday in CPW and it really is nice. Lovely chrome. Its pretty big though. Not much when sized next to my s7 edge, it just looks it so much more so on its own.
Lovely build. Gorgeous colour. Fast camera. Stunning screen. Loud speakers. It was tacked to the wall so I couldn't hold it properly to feel the balance unfortunately though. Really like the metal top and bottom too. Shame they didnt make the sides out of the same stuff. They look like glass, but knowing they are plastic (obviously the better choice than glass) does make it feel less premium ...buuuuut you cant have it all.
Looking forward to mine being delivered a week tomorrow now

There's a very good reason the sides are coated nylon...

Basically, you put a metal frame on it, and streaming 4khdr isn't gonna happen.
It switches antenna in landscape mode so you're never "holding it wrong"

and there was me just thinking it was to create their loop design and be more drop friendly than glass..
very interesting. It didn't feel bad anyway, sure it helped it keep a smidge under 200g as well
