Re: O2 Network Issues - 6th December 2018

@SteveoR I saw that on the locked thread where you also said you wanted compensation. Firstly tough break mate. If you seen it you'd know you couldn't put a price on not getting to see it. If that doesn't give away the Oirish in me!

Re: O2 Network Issues - 6th December 2018

So after the problem yesterday with the signal I had to buy a £50 new phone and EE sim just so I could communicate with my customer. I lost a lot of custom. What was worst is I’m trying to Contact o2 but can’t get though and the online service isn’t working and I’m still loosing service. Not very happy and this is unacceptable for a company as big as o2.

@Viks If you're still having problems, your issue is different from the recent outage. If you're thinking that you will be reimbursed for your expenses, think again. This is the official O2 response:

We will be in touch with our customers shortly to share:
• For our Pay Monthly customers, SMB business customers and mobile broadband customers we will be crediting two days of monthly airtime subscription charges by the end of January
• For our Pay As You Go customers we will be giving a 10% credit on a top-up in the New Year and will let our customers know when it is available
• For our Pay As You Go mobile broadband customers we will be giving a 10% discount on a Bolt On purchase in the New Year and will let our customers know when it is available

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Re: O2 Network Issues - 6th December 2018

2 days free airtime seems more than fair for a 24hr outage (especially as it wasnt even o2 fault but a 3rd party supplier). Id happily let o2 give mine to charity.

Im sure people will moan as thats what some are like. In my opinion if you rely on your phone that much to earn a living, get a 2nd SIM on a different network as backup

Do what I did, just send either a text donation, or simply PayPal a charity a couple of quid with giftaid.
Might seem small, but if 30 million customers or even a decent % did it, it would really be a welcome pot.

Wow o2 sure know how to look after their loyal customers. Been with o2 for over 13 years. A company this big should have safe guards in place to prevent stuff like this hppening.

Makes you wonder how they treat their disloyal customers, doesn't it?
