Good morning all,

We are aware our customers are unable to use data this morning.

Our technical teams are working on the issue with high priority. We are really sorry and working as hard and as fast as we can to fix this.

Please keep an eye on our status checker: http://o2.uk/ServiceStatus

Latest Update:

Our 3G and 4G data services are performing as normal. Our technical teams are continuing to monitor service performance closely. We will be updating our customers later today on how we will make yesterday’s data service issue up to them and we’d once again like to thank our customers for their patience.

A small proportion of customers have reported issues sending text messages. We can see that the vast majority are being sent and received successfully and our technical teams are investigating. Our 3G and 4G data services are performing as normal.

We are finalising how we make it up to our customers and will be contacting them later today about this.

The Facebook mention around us giving out £75 compensation isn't correct and didn't come from us.

Its going to take some time tonight to bring the backhauls back on line, and probably a cycle of the switching infrastructure at each cell site to be able to offer 4G fully...

And so endeth the first lesson in IT: turn it off and on again nerd

HI

After yesterdays problems, I have 3g but am still having problems with texts. Twice I've contacted o2 via Twitter and whilst I appreciate they have been busy a reply would be nice seeing as other people who tweeted around the same time or after have been replied to...

Anyway slight_smile Text's still aren't working for me. The recipient is getting the same message 3 times, but I am getting a message saying message delivery has failed. I have an Iphone 4s. I've done a factory reset and also switched it off and on again.

Does anyone else have any advice please?

Thanks in advance.

All working. Wouldnt surprise me if they purposely waited until overnight to restore services, when its quieter on the network

@paulbacon

Overnight isnt actually a quiet time anymore especially for devices to send data and sms messages, such as monitoring appliances, smart meters, tills etc..

@smh1982 i would just reset the network component and drop down to 3g, then put the phone into airplane mode then turn off airplane mode wait 10 mins then step backk to 4g

So who do i put my complaint to?  My OT has this contract in my name and relies on seizealarm if she has an epileptic seizure which was as much use as a chocolate fireguard due to the outage.
