New contract taken out in March but airtime bill looks to have increased with inflation

I took out a new Ultimate Volt contract in March (for which the o2 part of the bill is £25 for the o2 sim). When I was negotiating the new contract, I was assured that the new contract wouldn't be affected by the April inflation rise. Have just received my April bill and it has increased by ~£4, so it has increased with inflation. Is there any way to resolve this apart from a long winded (probably fruitless) call to o2 customer services?

Depends when in March. If it was before 26th then you would be hit with the increase.

Looks like you were misinformed

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@andyads74

You need to contact Virgin and they will credit your account to cover the increase 0345 454 1111

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
