eSIM and physical sim issue

I have just ordered a new phone for my daughter’s birthday which comes with an eSIM. I have not given it to her yet, or activated anything but her physical sim has stopped working. Can she keep using the physical sim until I give her the new phone in 2 weeks?

Her contract has been transferred to the new esim.

You would have to go in store, with photo ID, to get a new physical sim, which will cancel the esim.

If the new phone takes a physical sim, just keep using it in the new phone later.
