Generally considered a software bug so check your phone for updates.

New update coming first week in march apparently so thank you for your quick respond

Took my new case off and put old one back on works a treat now touch screen back to normal

Cases and screen protectors can both cause issues.

If the issue occurred after fitting or changing either, they have to be suspect.
