@leaf11 This is not O2. This is a customer community. You need to speak to customer service but I doubt they'll have any clue as to how to address this.
Call 0344 809 0202,  or 0800 032 1402
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.

Guidelines are set by the BBFC.

You need to address it with them https://www.bbfc.co.uk/about-classification/mobile-content

I'm afraid this is a customer to customer forum and there is no one here to action your request.

One of our members may know who you should contact.

Assume this restriction is O2 mobile and not Virgin Broadband

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

My understanding is that in the UK you need to be 18 years old to buy these products?

Hence the website asks you to confirm you are 18 even on PC

Having looked at the website, it's the customers that need to turn off their age restrictions on their accounts.

I doubt the BBFC will reclassify this type of website.
