Red dot on my iphone phone icon

Hi all. Recently upgraded my sim only contract with O2. My phone is an iPhone 11 max pro.

Since my new contract went live a red dot has appeared on my phone icon, I can’t get rid of it annoyingly. I’ve gone into voicemail and I have no messages. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The usual reason :

This red dot (with numbers inside) is a notification badge. Apps that often get these red dot badges are phone, messaging and email apps. Usually, the dot lets you know about things like a new message or a missed phone call. You will also see a red dot on the Settings app when you have an available software update.

Many thanks. Software fully up to date & no numbers in the red dot on the phone icon. 🤷🏼‍♂️
