Ported number

When my number is ported does it update my phone automatically from the temporary number to my number or do I physically have to alter the temporary number to my old number in "my number" in my phone.

 

At the moment my phone is still displaying the temporary number even though it should have been ported.

Settings >Apps >Phone >My number.

Edit, save and reboot.
