O2 SIM card wont work in my router

I have an o2 sim and can’t get to work in my tp link router

Can I simply check its working ?

Make sure you have the O2 APN settings installed.

O2 APN settings

• Name: o2 Internet.
• APN: mobile.o2.co.uk (PAYG - payandgo.o2.co.uk)
• Username: o2web (PAYG - payandgo)
• Password: password.
• MMS Proxy: 82.132.254.1.
• MMS Port: 8080.
• Authentification Type: PAP.
• APN Type: internet+MMS. ( If an entry is required type a * on its own)

However, phone SIM cards are not designed to be used in routers and long term use may see the SIM disconnected.

Short term use in a portable device should be fine
