Hello.
Please could somebody advise. I joined O2 last week on a monthly SIM only contract. I have ported my number over from previous provider. I have phoned the call center numerous times and have got no where. I cannot activate voLTE or visual voicemail on my Galaxy S20. It was working on my previous provider. Any ideas?

Visual Voicemail does not work on the S20. In fact none of the newer Samsung handsets can get it.
You should be OK with VoLTE as it's standard.

Visual voicemail does work with S20+ I had it with my last provider (Sky which piggy backs off O2). I used it all the time on this phone. The option was there when the Sky sim was in the phone but not with O2.

I never got it to work on my S20+ when it was on O2
Only seen it on some Pixel phones.
They launched it on the Pixel 3 ìn 2019 and we have heard nothing since.

Sky use there own servers for the Visual Voicemail Service, O2 just provide network access, so just because it works with the Sky MVNO doesn't mean it will work with the O2 MNO
Not heard of working with Samsung Devices, may have to test this...

Thanks for replies. This is ridiculous. I'm still in cooling off period and go back to Sky. No volte or Visual voicemail. Utterly bonkers.

VoLTE is available on o2 Pay Monthly but not on PAYG and Visual Voicemail I am afraid has got to have something to do with Shamsung's implementation of dealing with the carrier configuration...

Thanks for replies and advice. Pretty disappointed with O2 not being able to sort out VVM - It was a really handy feature when I was with Sky. I guess I can live without it. I am on monthly contract so should have VoLTE (4g calling). I was told that O2 hide their icon. Is this correct? Another weird issue. I did have an eSIM and now replaced with a plastic SIM. My O2 app keeps telling me "eSIM pending installation". I have called the call centre and they have said they've blocked it. It's still showing up 5 days later in the app. Any ideas?
