I currently have a classic payg sim which I want to keep, I have also signed up to a new 12 month  monthly sim contract for which the sim is on it's way to me. I have had a text message to my Payg number thanking me for the order and telling me to activate my new sim by texting SWAP etc.  but the website says new contract sims (which I think this is) arrive ready to go.

Any advice please ?

Ta.

Nothing at all in this case, just put the new sim in the phone and use it.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Your new sim will arrive activated but with a temporary number, so you need to follow the information in this guide to move your number over Guide: Migration & porting into O2

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Thanks for the quick reply, yea o2 have told me the number for the new sim and I understand that if I wan to change it to my existing payg number I would need to port it etc. but I actually want to keep both sims and both numbers ,so is there anything I need to do with the new sim except put if in the phone and use it ?
