New SIM doesnt work and cant access account

I bought my wife an O2 SIM card (monthly account) a couple of months ago and it has never worked, inserted it into the wife’s iPhone and shows O2 and a good signal strength but cant make or receive calls or texts. Tris it in my iPhone and still doesn’t work, Tried my SIM in my wife’s- phone and it worked so it’s not my wife’s phone. Tried to log into my wife’s account but cant as it insists in sending a verification code to the SIM card that doesnt work so cant receive it. Called the helpline three times and none could het the card to work and the last op said to take in into an O2 shop so we did this 3 days ago and after an hour the op in there couldn’t get it to work either so now need to cancel the account without paying for a years subscription as the card has never worked help?

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook ( , Twitter ( or Instagram ( , they should be able to help you with this
