Hi. My Sony Xperia 1 II is not connecting to any cellular network in usa. I've tried switching it off/on multiple times, disabling/enabling fight mode, disabling auto network selection and forcing it to connect to a network.

I've got roaming on, travel bundles on my o2 account.

My daughter's o2 apple iphone has connected to tmobile. So there's service in the area.

Any hints anyone?

Thanks.

@DS8642

Sounds like you may have a roaming bar on your account.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

@DS8642

The data speeds in the US are absolutely pathetic with O2 sims. People generally find using a local sim such as AT&T or T Mobile (which can be picked up anywhere) work much better for data.

Some things to try @DS8642

  1. Manually search for another network
  2. Reboot the phone
  3. If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
  4. If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account

I've been referred to tech support. They're going to be 1 to 3 working days to get back to me... Time for a network change me thinks...
