Hello everyone,

I have searched online but i am unable to find the answer to this.

I have a sim only contract with o2 which is now ready to be renewed.

I am going to purchase a new phone contract with o2 but not from o2, i can save £150 over 24 months this way.

To take my old sim only number to the new contract phone....i presume i just give 30 days notice to o2 to cancel my sim only contract, request my PAC code, sign up to a new contract with o2 and then use the PAC code when my new contract phone arrives ? I know it is very simple to do when switching carriers or when taking out a new contract via o2 themselves, but unsure about the process as described above.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No links to social media platforms please, i have a real life 😉

You just need to call O2 to migrate your number Guide: Migration & porting into O2

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Thanks Enlli and M15. I was just concearned that i would have two contracts running at the same time, and this possibly causing issues and extra costs.

Once you migrate your number the old contract will end.
