I have an iPhone 12 Pro, I ported to O2 a couple of weeks ago.

I am finding the London Underground Wi-Fi never auto connects on my phone, I have to go into settings manually and connect to "WiFi Extra". I am finding the same at O2 hotspots, I have to manually connect.

Can somebody please help?

Take a read of this first, @bakaninja - see if it is worth following up?

It is being phased out, is what I take from @madasaf1sh's comment on that thread.

Here is why WiFi on TFL (the Underground network) is not worth following up:

Tube passengers may be able to stream World Cup Final on Underground 4G https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/london-underground-tube-4g-signal-tfl-b1041381.html

Hi @pgn

I don't think that's a fair conclusion as the article says the following: "the 4G network will exist alongside the existing wifi on the tube"

That's a fair point - I have not searched extensively to confirm or deny the change on either side of the service, but we could see if O2 have any news to share - I'll tag @Chris_K and @Martin-O2 to raise awareness, until I find a definite article with timelines for power-on of the 4G service in the TfL Tube/Underground System and power-off, if known yet, for the existing WiFi service on the same transport network, @NazmunAli.

When Vodafone switched it off for their users in the summer of last year they mentioned a target date of 2024 for full 4G coverage.

Whether that was a sop, is hard to say

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
