I recently had to replace my old PAYG 2G phone which I just used to make and recive calls.
My old PAYG 2G phone recently packed up.
As 2G is being switched off next year I decided to to replace it with an Alcatel 1B 2022 4G entry level smartphone.
However I seriously only need the phone to make and receive calls and texts, and the Camera and video.
I have noticed that although I have not made any calls in the last 12 hours my PAYG balance has been reduced.
I think this may be because of the extras like Google.
I have already disabled Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
How can I disable Googe and other extras. And will doing so cause me any problems, like my Contacts list, photo gallery, messages etc.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Who has told you 2G is been switched off next yea??
As it will still be in place for a while longer as a lot of smart meters are reliant on 2G
On an android phone just go into settings and turn off mobile data, then you wont be charged for mobile data, also make sure all permissions for apps are set to not use mobile data...
