Hi,

I have recently joined o2 and have the below issues:

- No data in my area

Connect to 4g, but speed tests at 0.2mbps and nothing loads.

- iMessages

Suddenly stopped working since joined o2.

- Text messages

Can't even send a text message, they continue to fail.

Steps taken to help:

- Restarted phone

- Cleared out network settings

- Tried sim in a different phone

It appears o2 is completely unfit for purpose, i need my phone as i run a business and without data, iMessage and the simple ability to send a text this is completely unfit for purpose.

Thanks,

Honor

Network signal should be checked before committing to lengthy contracts.

If within 14 days you can cancel, but if not, you need to use wifi calling. https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If the data is slow with a SIM in another phone then I would say the network has capacity issues.

Coverage maps show the expected strength of signal not the quality.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

If you are considering leaving O2, please ensure that you follow @MI5's advice at the start of this thread :-

"Network signal should be checked before committing to lengthy contracts".

You do this by buying some PAYG SIMs on the other networks and trying each in the areas that you frequent - go with the network that your tests shows is the best for you.
