Esim problem

Got my sim pack and followed the instructions.

Went onto the my account page and was sent a code to phone to verify who I was.

Went to put new sim serial number in and this failed. Was advised to call O2.

Whilst doing this I was cut off as my mobile signal went.

Called on wife's phone as was advised that it could take 24 hours to port over. Not sure if he was getting confused as its the same number ?

Is a delay normal between creating an esim and losing your old actual sim ?

Did the Pack come with a QR code. When I got mine 6 months ago it was simply a matter of going to Add eSim on my phone's SIM manager and scanning it in

Don't know what account system you are on but I've just posted this

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Tech-Support/360-And-eSIM-Transfer/m-p/1621149#M33540

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
